Let me know what’s going on and what you need help with. Then we can decide if I can help you virtually or if hands-on help would be best!
Prenatal In-person Lactation Consult
Meet with me to learn helpful breastfeeding info and techniques before you give birth! We can determine your flange size before beginning to pump, learn latch positions, what to do if supplementing is recommended and how to establish a milk supply. Also, I can help you make sure your birth plans are supportive of breastfeeding. I can give you some questions to ask your doctor about your hospital’s policies and if they might affect breastfeeding.
Postpartum In Clinic Lactation Consult
One hour visit in my home clinic. Can be at 3 hours old, 3 days, 3 weeks, or 3 months! If baby is having trouble latching or gaining weight, if Mama is having clogged ducts or mastitis – let me help! In this session I can give latch assistance, trouble shoot nipple pain, teach feeding positioning, preform a pre and post weight to determine infant’s intake, low supply counseling, flange sizing, pumping, bottle feeding, engorgement relief, and more!
Virtual Lactation Consult
One hour session of counseling prenatally or postpartum. This session can contain what I mentioned above, but virtually. The only set back would be I am not able to give hands on help, which can be necessary with latch difficulty.
Quick Lactation Question
Unsure if a medication is safe while breastfeeding? Ask me! Quick questions about meds, clogged ducts, supplements, treating mastitis, pumping, bottle feeding or whatever you have questions about related to lactation.
Testimonials
Ruth R says:
“When I talk about my breast-feeding journey, I always talk about Anna and how I could not have done it without her! Everyone says breast-feeding is hard, but having a mother who breast-fed 6 kids, I thought “well, how hard can it really be?” I was in for a rude awakening. Even when you have help at the hospital, they know what they’re doing and make it look easy. I honestly didn’t even know what questions to ask. My baby was 5 weeks early so she had a little trouble gaining weight at first. Needless to say when I got home, there were many tears shed. Anna was so amazing! She came to my house several times to help show me exactly what I needed to do and she worked with me to get my baby’s weight back up. I was so scared but when I talked to her, she made me feel like I could do it. The reassurance as a new mother was so needed and welcomed. She gave me tips and tricks and even let me text her when I needed help. I’m convinced she knows everything there is to know about nursing. From latching, how to hold the baby, what foods and supplements to take, everything! She knows it all and is so willing to help! You can really see how much she loves mothers, babies and breast feeding. She was a Godsend! She was so patient and so kind in a time where I was stressed and unsure if I could keep going with breast feeding. I am so grateful I did and I know it was due to Anna and all of her support!”
Sara W. says:
“As a brand new mother I was very overwhelmed and wanted more than anything to have a successful breastfeeding journey. No one in my family had ever successfully breastfed a baby, therefore I was frequently encouraged to do things that didn’t facilitate effective breastfeeding by others that were trying to help and felt that I didn’t have the resources to be successful. This is where Anna came into my journey and I could not be more thankful. My almost 9 months now of a successful breastfeeding journey would not have been possible without her. She walked with me through a clogged duct, supply issues, flange sizing, supplements, latch concerns, bottle preference, concerns with medication and breastfeeding, when baby is teething and biting, what to expect returning to work, gave me wonderful resources for any future issues, and many other concerns. She went beyond educating me and physically helping me as she spiritually lifted me and encouraged me and reminded me of the Lord’s faithfulness and that He holds everything so perfectly. I cannot express my thankfulness for her assistance in my breastfeeding journey. “
